The Mislabeling of a Historic Turning Point: This Is Not a Coalition But A National Consensus Front

In the life of every wounded nation, a moment arises when silence becomes betrayal, and neutrality becomes cowardice. For Nigeria, that moment is upon us.

Our people are battered - not by fate, but by a deliberate system of organized failure. We have endured regimes that treat governance as conquest and national wealth as private loot. We have witnessed coalitions of convenience that evaporate after elections, and empty slogans that fade faster than the banners they are printed on.

But something radically and truly different is emerging. Something sincere. Something strategic. Something sacrificial. And that something is not a coalition as mislabeled.

                                   

NCF Leaders

It is a National Consensus Front (NCF). A convergence of conscience, vision, and duty. It deserves to be called what it is, and not what lazy political observers want it to be.

Why the Term "Coalition" Is a Dangerous Mislabel

Let us be clear. To reduce this historic realignment under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to just another "coalition" is more than a semantic error. It is a calculated sabotage. In Nigerian politics, coalition has come to mean a fragile alliance of egos, patched together weeks before elections, and dissolved before votes are even fully counted.

But the NCF is not built on desperation or arithmetic. It is an eighteen month long-haul re-imagination of the Republic anchored in shared values, deep convictions, and national urgency.

To persist in calling it a “coalition” is to dishonor its gravity. It is to tie a new vision to the ghosts of past failures. It weakens the movement, invites mockery, and gives ammunition to detractors eager to see it fail.

And they are many. Those rooting for its collapse not because it lacks strength, but because it threatens their stranglehold.

What Makes the National Consensus Front Different

It is not a power deal but a national duty. The NCF is not a marketplace for political ambition. It is a platform for national redemption crafted not for elites to recycle themselves, but for Nigerians to re-own their country. It is ideologically clear and grounded in inclusion, productivity, civic dignity, justice, and accountability. The NCF does not play by the old rules. It rewrites them. It is institutionally structured.                                       

With ADC as its backbone not captured, but retooled, the Front is organized for longevity, not just for the 2027 election alone. It is about 2037 and 2047. It is about laying the groundwork for a Republic that works—for the child in Borno, the trader in Aba, the teacher in Ibadan, and the unemployed graduate in Kaduna. It is about building a movement that is bigger than the ballot box and stronger than fleeting alliances.

It Is Mass-Oriented, Not Elite-Focused

From Rainbow Alliance (Southwest) to Liberty Alliance (South-South) to the up-coming Freedom Alliance (Southeast), the Front is awakening market women, artisans, young professionals, and students. It is both elite-led and mass-driven. It mobilizes shared pain into collective purpose. The NCF translates years of hardship into one powerful message: “The people shall reclaim Nigeria.”

Credit to the Visionary Elites

This movement did not happen by accident. It was born of bold choices. Let it be recorded that courageous elites, statesmen, professionals, scholars, ex-servicemen, women leaders, and reformers spearheaded this crusade. They stood up at great personal and political risk refusing to sit in the comfort of privilege while the nation burns. They chose to confront the system that fed them, because they knew posterity would not forgive them for passivity.

These are men and women who understand that true leadership is not defined by position, but by vision and courage. They put their names, reputations, and safety on the line to birth a movement that speaks to the heart of Nigeria’s pain and the possibilities of her redemption.

In a time when silence is safer and complicity is more profitable, these elites have dared to lead. .

These are not your regular political hustlers. They are architects of Nigeria’s second independence. And they must be acknowledged not ignored. They must be celebrated, not undermined, dismissed, or reduced to coalition makers.

Why the APC’s Grips Must Be Broken

The APC regime has done more than fail. It has weaponized poverty and hunger to domesticate resistance, turning citizens into dependents, and youth into digital gladiators for stipends. What was once a promise of change has become a machinery of repression, cronyism, and imposed silence. The NCF stands not just in opposition to the APC, but as a remedy to its legacy of calculated impoverishment.

The Futility of the Detractors

Yes, there are detractors. There are those trapped in the politics of the past, who want this Front  to crumble. They spread cynicism, whisper doubt, and attempt to fracture momentum. But they will fail. This is not a coalition of politicians. It is a convergence of patriots. This Front was not created in backrooms. It was born in the open crucible of Nigeria’s national pain. It is not held by convenience. It is sustained by shared sacrifice. Those waiting for implosion will wait in vain. This Front is not theirs to break.

A Challenge to the Fence-Sitting Elite

This is a direct challenge to the elite watching from the balcony or those zigzagging, while others build the house. If you’re not inside this Front, ask yourself why.

If you truly believe in a better Nigeria and are not part of this, your absence is not neutrality. It is betrayal. Every capable Nigerian, especially those with voice, network, knowledge, and wealth must choose between joining the movement and betraying the mission.

If you claim to care, yet hide behind cynicism, you are not helping the country. You are helping its captors.

 Our Creed: “The Power Returns to the People”

We, members of the National Consensus Front, reject the politics of poverty, division, and manipulation. We declare our loyalty not to tribes, regions, or sponsors but to the Nigerian people. We shall dismantle structures that reward laziness and impunity, and in their place build institutions that honor effort, reward innovation, and protect the dignity of every citizen.

The APC and its ilk have weaponised hunger to silence the people. We shall weaponise empowerment to set them free.

From every ward to every city, we mobilize - not for applause, but for accountability. Not to dominate, but to democratize. Not to recycle failure, but to reinvent the future. The power returns to us.

The New Nigeria Is Not a Dream - It Is a Duty

The National Consensus Front is not perfect. But it is sincere, strategic, and strong. And it is open. Let the youth who marched for EndSARS, the civil servants trapped in unpaid pensions, the artisans crushed by economic sabotage, the religious leaders tired of empty prayers for corrupt politicians - let them find in this Front a home of justice, vision, and purpose.

This is not a coalition. This is not politics as usual. This is not a dance around old fires. This is a covenant. A consensus. A crusade. The National Consensus Front has arrived. And it will not be stopped. History is watching. Nigeria is waiting. And this Front must not fail.
